ABOUT
THE SHUSTER WAY HERITAGE TRAIL is a multi-use trail that currently connects the Omni Bedford Springs Resort to downtown Bedford and Fort Bedford Park utilizing an offroad gravel trail and public streets and sidewalks. Leashed dogs are allowed. No motorized vehicles.
It is 1.75 miles from the southern trailhead at the Omni Bedford Springs Resort Trailhead (39.997372, -78.504218) (LINK) to downtown Bedford, and 2.65 miles from the Bedford Springs trailhead to its north end in Fort Bedford Park (40.020264, -78.506192).
Another popular trailhead is the Bedford Elks Club south parking lot (40.005059, -78.500351). The Omni Bedford Springs Resort's 25 miles of hiking/biking trails system is accessible at the south end of our trail (39.998007, -78.503380) (LINK)
Along the southern end by the Bedford Elks Club and Bedford Springs Resort, this picturesque trail follows alongside the Elks Club golf course, crosses Shober’s Run via two charming bridges, has several benches for users to relax and enjoy the scenery, informational kiosks with trail map and informational displays containing tidbits of Bedford’s rich cultural and natural beauty.
